Contacts in iPath are stored at the Customer level. This means, that by selecting a Customer on the Home page and then clicking the Contacts tab, all Contacts for that Customer will be displayed. Contacts can also be assigned to Accounts. And when assigned to an Account they are also assigned a Contact Type (e.g. Primary Contact, Telco Contact, Vendor Contact etc.). The benefit to this structure is that Contacts can be entered once and then "assigned" to multiple accounts without having to re-enter their information.
The Contacts tab on the Home displays a list of all Contacts for the selected Customer, or all the assigned Contacts for the selected Account (if an Account is selected). The Contacts tab is shown below:
To view detailed information about a specific Contact, simply click the Contact in the Contacts grid. The following window will be displayed:
