Editing Contact Information

Editing Contact information is achieved through the Contacts tab on the Home page of iPath.  First, select the desired Customer where the Contact resides, then click the Contacts tab.  A list of all Contacts for the Customer will displayed as shown below:



To edit a Contact's information, simple click on the Contact.  The Edit Contact window will be displayed as shown below:



There are two types of Contact edits that can be performed: editing a Contact's Information (e.g. their Name, Phone number etc.) and Changing a Contacts Account association.

Edit the Contact's Information

The Contact and Contact Address information sections can be changed as needed to update the Contact's information.  Click the Save button to save the changes.

Edit the Contact's Account Associations

As discussed in the Contact Introduction section, Contacts are stored in iPath against a Customer. Then those Contacts can be assigned to one or more Accounts.  In the Account Association section of the Edit Contact page, you change select what Account's the Contact should be associated to.  Additionally you can set the Contact Type for that particular association.

For example, let's say Jane Doe is now the Billing Contact for the ABC Company's New York office.  Currently (as shown above), Jane Doe is only associated with ABC Company's Main Location as indicated by the checked checkbox.  To add Jane to as the Billing Contact for ABC's New York office to the following:

  1. Put a checkmark in the checkbox for the New York account

  2. Change the Contact Type field to Billing Contact

Once completed, click the Save button to be returned to the Home page.  Note that if you now click on ABC's New York account, Jane Doe will be listed as a Billing Contact on that Account as shown below:
