With the introduction of the $FA Module, Service Orders (SO's) are not automatically generated. The will include the Services and their associated Pricing as well at the Terms & Conditions configured on the T&C tab.
SO's are generated from the SO tab. Selecting the tab will display a grid of all SO's generated for the Quote Package.
NOTE: Each time an SO is generated it will take a "snapshot" of how the Quote Package is currently configured. As such, it is possible to generate an SO, then change some Pricing Attributes or Features and then generate a second SO which will be based off of the changed Attributes/Features.
For example, on order to provide a Customer with two quotes, one for at a 1 year term and one at a 2 year term, you would perform the following steps:
Configure Package Attributes for 1 Year term
Generate Service Order
Change Term to 2 Years
Save the Package
Generate Second SO
By this means it is possible to give the customer multiple versions of Service Orders.
To generate a Service Order, click the SO tab and enter a descriptive name for the Service Order (such as "One Year SO), then click the Generate New SO button as shown below:
The SO grid will be updated as follows:
To view an SO, simply click the desired Service Order. It will open up the PDF version of the SO as shown below:
Remember, that as many SO's as needed can be generated, and that the current configuration of the Quote Package will determine the content of the Service Order.
